I can’t believe that it’s been one whole year since Jake lost his battle to bone cancer… It’s gone by so quickly… It seems like just a few months ago that we lost him.  We think about him everyday… and wish we could have him back with us for just one more day…

We will never forget you… our sweet golden angel…

words can not express the sense of loss when we are parted from our best friends. it will never be the same, but, by the nature of time, it just will be. we miss you on the forums, and we send our blessings to you, nala and wolfie!!

We can not tell you how much we feel for you. Your time with Jake was irreplaceable, as is Jake. We think Jake has very handsome. He had a sweet white face like our baby Ginger does. We hope all is well in Florida, and Wolfie and Nala are still playing nice together. Whenever we need a laugh we watch your video of those two.

  3. I can’t believe that it’s already been a year. As I’ve told you, Jake was our first friend on tripawds and I followed his story and your postings faithfully. He was always such an inspiration to us, not to mention that he and Mackenzie looked so much alike. When I brought Mackenzie home from her surgery (a year ago too) just a couple of days later, I remember logging on and reading that Jake crossed the bridge. I was so heartbroken and I remember just crying at my keyboard as I read your post.
Jake will always hold a very special place in our hearts – just as you will, Marguerite, as you’ve always been there for everyone here on tripawds, even after your huge loss. We miss seeing you around here and hope you’re doing well.
Sending you lots of golden hugs,
    Kami, Mackenzie & Kobe

Pictures of Jake bring back so many memories of my many goldens…white faced, smiling, and always happy. Jake was gone by the time Lincoln and I came around, but I read every word of his blog, and loved his beautiful face.

As long as we remember them, they remain a part of us.

We’re sending lots of hugs your way, and we know Jake is watching over all of us tripawds from the Rainbow Bridge. You’re in our hearts now, as always. You’ve been such a help to us these past months – always there with an encouraging word, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
    Hugs,
    Holly, Zuzu and Susan

I am coming up on the 1 year anniversary of loss of my old girl. I understand so much of what your saying. I have found time has eased the hurt some. I accidently erased her picture from my phone the other day and am reminded all over again that I will never get to take a new one to replace it.
I hope for you and your family less grief, more laughter about the good memories he gave you. He looked like a wonderful boy and he was very lucky to have a family that loves him so much.
    Elizabeth and Sammy
